Bob Greenblatt is partnering with actress Allison Janney and writer Alexa Junge to adapt the book “Confident Women” to an anthology-style series for Amazon Prime Video. Janney is a part of the project as producer and executive producer, but not writing alongside Chris Henze, Chris Henze’s.
He’s optimistic about coming up with the next set of initiatives. Tori Telfer’s book “Confident Women: Swindlers, shapeshifters, and Grifters of the Feminine Persuasion” which was released earlier this year, covers female con women in a range of different stories over the last several decades. Greenblatt stated to Variety that he thought it was an amazing approach to telling female-focused stories with a bit of dark twist. This isn’t ‘Dahmer’. This is not about serial killers. But these women have done some incredible things.
Greenblatt has stated that “It’s necessary that women are provided with the same amount of time.” “Confident Women” will tell the tale of one woman every season. It begins by focusing on the story of Sante Kimes, an American woman with Indian origin who committed a variety of crimes and even is responsible for some murders in the course of several years. “They’re every woman is driven to this life for various reasons which is why we want to get underneath it,” Greenblatt stated. Junge Janney as well as Henze will work together in the project. Telfer is on board as co-EP. The idea will be developed by Amazon Studios and Thruline Entertainment. Dark comedy “Dirty Deed” has ended at Amazon Studios. From Tom and Charlotte Melia are the writers of this dark comedy. The plot follows a girl along with her closest friends, and two women who realize that the only choice for possessing a home is to kill their grandmother. “The wealthy grandmother owns this incredible house, she’s just this very onerous, terrible character,” Greenblatt said. “The people who have friends understand that the best way to get rid of their financial troubles is to eventually kill the elderly grandmother. The grandmother is deserving of that, as you see immediately.
Greenblatt’s Lionsgate agreement with Lionsgate is now the third production of “Dirty Deed.” He is also responsible for the “Death at Penn State”, a show that is a limited edition on Hulu, and “The Show Must Go On,”” which is based on the murder mystery series. Greenblatt will be executive producing “Dirty Deed,”” along with Jon Wu as co-executive producer in the production of The Green Room. Roberto Troni is also on board as executive producer through Various Artists Ltd., in addition, Angie Stephenson is executive producer for BBC Studios.
